Notre Dame students, join an initiative from Student Government to explore the ways that art responds to and influences the contemporary world around us.
During this program, the group will focus on a photograph by Mary Ellen Mark as a starting point for our conversation about mental health. Mark's work, which is part of a series that focuses on people on the fringes, will guide the group to consider how mental health affects students and discuss what changes we can make towards a future of well-being.
This conversation will be led by a Museum Gallery Teacher and a member of the Notre Dame Student Government, the program sponsor.
CW: Content in the work of art we will discuss portrays self-harm and mental health.
