Notre Dame students, join us for a day in Chicago to visit an auction house and an art foundation to learn about the various positions that intersect with and relate to works of art. Between site visits, sit down with Notre Dame alumni who work with art objects in a variety of ways: appraising, marketing, researching, and cataloging.
The bus will leave Friday, November 2 at 8:45am and will not return until 10pm that evening.
This opportunity is limited to 20 students and applications are due Friday, October 12 . Applications will be reviewed during fall break and students will be notified by Monday, October 22 if accepted. Once accepted there is a $10 charge for this trip. Scholarships are available if the charge is an obstacle to your participation. The trip includes transportation to and from Chicago, lunch, and admission to two sites. After our visit, you will have two hours on your own to explore museums and have dinner. Any expenses during this time are up to you.
