Keigo Hirakawa Trio

“Full of inventiveness and a sense of adventure, creativeness and voracious angularity, aggressiveness, and jaggedness, passion and swing.”
-Stephen Scott, jazz pianist

The Keigo Hirakawa Trio is a hard hitting, hard swinging jazz piano trio. A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Hirakawa has appeared on stages with Donald Byrd, JD Allen, Bob Moses, Allen Vizzutti, Greg Abate, Eddie Bayard, and Richie Barshay. Joining Hirakawa is a veteran bassist Eddie Brookshire, who played alongside Elvin Jones, Donald Byrd, Rusty Bryant, Johnny Lytle, and Fathead Newman, and Fenton Sparks, a longtime drummer for Bill Cunliffe.

The 3rd Thursdays @ the Snite Summer Music Series is curated by Stephen and Mary Merriman of Merrimans' Playhouse.

Just can't get enough of the Keigo Hirakawa Trio? They will be performing at Merrimans' Playhouse on Friday, August 19, 8:00-10:00 p.m. Visit their website for further details.
