"...Stanley's prowess leading the song through highs and lows with improvisation and skill that certainly places him at the top of his tree."
-Ian Parry, Rocktopia
The members of Fiddle Funk are violinist Stanley Chepaitis, pianist Chris Bakriges, and bassist Nathan Santos. Stanley Chepaitis hails from Indiana, Pennsylvania, where he teaches violin and chairs the string department at IUP. Chris Bakriges lives in Wilmington, Vermont, and, in addition to a freelance career as a jazz pianist, he teaches at Elms College and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Nathan Santos lives in Tiffin, Ohio, and teaches at Tiffin University. Their music is an eclectic mix of original compositions in a jazz vein, based on artwork by Matisse and baroque music of Telemann.
The 3rd Thursdays @ the Snite Summer Music Series is curated by Stephen and Mary Merriman of Merrimans' Playhouse.
