Elaine Dame Trio
“Like clarified honey, her voice combines a hearty sweetness and a welcome translucence, and they enjoy a complimentary balance…but Dame can also push into unexpected territory… a place in the heart toughened by life and strengthened by hope, with a little growl to signify both.”
-Neil Tesser, Grammy award-winning critic and author
Since 1996, the woman who Time Out Chicago calls "a jazz dynamo and a gem in the jazz vocal scene" has been turning heads and capturing attention at over 300 of the nation's finest clubs and venues. From her performances in New York City's Rainbow Room to her headlining appearance at the 2015 Chicago Jazz Festival, Elaine's winning stage presence and chameleon-like vocal flexibility have firmly established her as one of the premier jazz artists performing today.
The 3rd Thursdays @ the Snite Summer Music Series is curated by Stephen and Mary Merriman of Merrimans' Playhouse.
Just can't get enough of the Elaine Dame Trio? They will be performing at Merrimans' Playhouse on Friday, May 20, 8:00-10:00 p.m. Visit their website for further details.
