Name: Kyle Thorne
Position: Assistant Preparator

What is the most rewarding aspect of your position?:
The part of my job that is the most rewarding is getting to work behind the scenes and handle objects from all different time periods and places. As an artist myself being able to be up close and personal with the art is extremely rewarding.

How did you get into museum work?:
I started working as an art handler at the University Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst while I was there getting my masters.

Favorite work in the Snite Museum of Art?:
My favorite work of art at the museum is constantly changing as we constantly acquire new things for the collection. Currently, I am really excited about a recent acquisition Upbeat by Clement Meadmore. Watching it change with the seasons is really exciting.
