The
Friends is the membership organization that encourages participation
by individuals and businesses in museum-related education,
fund-raising, social and community outreach activities. The
Friends sponsor special events to increase community participation
through annual, ongoing programs, such as the Christmas Benefit
Dinner, High School Art Day, Breakfast/Cinema, museum bus
trips, and receptions at exhibition openings. Many members
enjoy the Art and Architecture summer series and art history
classes during the academic year.
Special
events and memberships provide funding for informative materials
in the galleries as well as for the innovative programming
and activities essential to the continued growth of The Friends
of The Snite Museum.
The
goal of The Friends is to increase membership, as well as
the visibility of the University and the Museum as community
partners. With the combined efforts of our Friends Board,
our many priceless volunteers and our enthusiastic staff we
will grow and prosper.
