Some of the functions and activities of the Friends of the Snite Museum of Art are:
The
Mailing Committee meets as needed at the Museum from 8
to 10 a.m. to process bulk mailings.
There
are also committees formed each year to assist with the planning
and implementation of special events such as:
- The
annual Art & Architecture series, which tours
area artists studios and homes of architectural interest.
- The
Art History lecture series, which consists of four
afternoon educational programs held at The Snite between
September and May.
- High
School Art Day, a day on campus for area high school
students to explore first-hand college art classes and professional
careers in art.
- and
2-3 Museum Day trips each year to other museums and arts
organizations.
